Reflexion:

I really did enjoy doing this voice-thread. I thought it was going to be a lot harder than it actually was. Once i figured out how to upload everything and all the buttons I needed to use to get it done, it was actually very user friendly. I had a harder time trying to get it to upload on the wiki than to make the whole voice-thread. Once i was done with it, I thought about how it would be a very interesting tool to use in the classroom, especially in an elementary setting. I think young kids would really enjoy doing this. Getting their book up on the internet that they created themselves would make them feel more important about the story they wrote. Almost as if they got their book published and they get to share it with everyone else. The part they would enjoy the most would be adding their voice to their story. While it is something that students would need lots of instruction before starting and a lot of guidance while doing it, i do think students would be able to pick up on it easily. The older kids wouldn't need as much guidance as the younger kids but it would be something that you could easily split up and have step by step instructions for. Using this voice-thread would definitely be a fun alternative when having students present something to the class. It makes it more interesting because it has the students story, artwork, and voice incorporated in it. Another good part of doing this is that you could use it in any classroom, not only in a English Language Arts class; you could do have students explain the life cycle of the butterfly or talk about what certain presidents have done. Overall, I think it would be a fun project for students to do and that they would enjoy doing. It would be a better alternative to assessing what students have learned, instead of giving them a boring test.
